Mint Cocoa FTW

I’m finally back to making some product! *happy dance* My mom came over and helped me make lotions for the first time. One sign that it’s been too long since I’ve been able to make lotions: I forgot how exhausting it is. *grin* Even with help that cut my time in half I felt like I had ran a marathon. I wanted to keep going and make some soaps, too, but my body developed a really strong dialogue with my brain that reminded me that I’m supposed to take a break for the same amount of time I’ve worked. *laugh* I’m so glad I was able to get over being on bedrest and start working again. (Note: in case you’re not up on acronyms FTW is “for the win”.)

First I worked on lotions to fill part of an order, then on some my mom’s asked for, and even had the umph to get a few jars done to start stocking my shelves. Booyah! While working on them I couldn’t find a few of my recipes on my laptop or the cloud, so I ended up having to write a new recipe for Mint Cocoa Goat’s Milk V2 lotion and boy howdy did it turn out awesome!! Like that first moment you lay back in a luxurious bath happy sigh awesome. I did four 1 oz samples in the mint cocoa that I need to figure up prices for and post, because this version is a total keeper (and is going into the cloud so that it never gets lost! Lol). I use Fudge Brownie FO most anytime that I’m going for a chocolaty scent profile, but now I have a straight up Chocolate FO that I tried in the new version, and it is perfect! I’m actually really glad that there are a few documents floating in one of the computers somewhere it’s not supposed to be. *grin*

My legs are still killing me hours later, but my skin is almost crawling from being so excited to start making soaps next, as soon as I’m able to be up for a bit. I even found and pulled out the cute holiday baskets and boxes to hopefully make (and sell this time! Lol) a few combos. And maybe started writing a new list of ideas that I want to try. *starts whistling innocently while pushing my notebook under the edge of the couch so no one sees it’s the fifth list* Yeah, my brain and artistic side are both very happy again. *grin*

Just a little shot to show off. There are four 4 oz jars and four 1 oz jars of Mint Cocoa GMV2, one 4 oz Dreamsicle GMV2, two 4 oz jars of On a (Pumpkin) Roll GMV2, and one super refreshing 4 oz jar of Lime Margaritas, Anyone? GMV2. Look at all my lovely little creations.

I can’t be any happier over these. With the help I didn’t have to run back and forth, my lotion base never “broke” from my being unable to make it back in time while making a few jars of product, and my kitchen didn’t look like a war zone. I still ended up wearing some and managed to splatter enough onto the controls on my stove that it has a Baywatch sheen in case it wants to start flirting with the microwave. *overly dramatic sigh* You can’t take the disaster zone out of this girl, no matter what, apparently. Lol. At least I didn’t get burned, slip, or get lotion in the eye, so full success in my book. *grin*

Anyway, I just had to share my excitement and successes. Hopefully I’ll be sharing pics of some Red Velvet Cake Slice soaps, mechanic soaps, and a few stocking stuffer friendly soaps in the next couple of days. I’m eyeing an ornament mold that might even let me do a little painting on some soaps, too. Feel free to cross your fingers for me. (Just don’t do your toes because I’ve proven that doing that is pretty unlucky, since it will usually make you fall. Leave the falling to a pro like me. *wink*) I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and welcome to the new blog followers! I’m really excited that you’re joining in my insanity, er journey. 😉

A Few Ideas

I mentioned last night that I have been percolating a few ideas, so I thought tonight I’d share (warn you). *grin*

First, as I just barely mentioned last night, I’m thinking of doing a “Scent Census”. Catchy, right?! I was watching a cooking show and they had a “soup census”, which got one hamster racing like crazy on its hamster wheel and made me start playing with the name and the idea of doing another poll. I think maybe the fun name will help tempt a few to look and click.

My favorite idea that I’m juggling around is to make a few companion pieces for the Monsters Away Spray. I’ve been thinking it’d be neat to use my herbs (no, no, I don’t live in a friendly state, so mine are literal herbs and not something that could make a person giggly or crave snacks) that are too old to use in actual bath products, but still have some aromatherapy power left. I still have quite a few bath tea bags left and I thought the herbs in a bath tea bag would work rather well as a sachet. I could use chamomile, lavender, and maybe peppermint in there. The Spray is for direct Monster fighting, whereas the sachet would be to help keep those monsters repelled or to help keep them away from the bed when slipped under the pillow. *grin* Maybe even a cute little bag that the two products will fit into for easy gift giving, too. Plus, I have rethought the idea of how to actually promote the spray. Nobody felt their kid would be into a little amateur acting to get a marketing picture taken when I had debated a silly handmade monster head or even a costume mask, but I’ve been thinking maybe a simpler and truly realistic picture would work. The closet door is open in the background, the darkness deep and completing obscuring the items inside the closet. A child is in the forefront pointing at the closet and you see an adult’s hand at the other edge of the picture reaching out and spraying some Monsters Away Spray at the invisible closet monster that their little one is certain is there when the lights are out. Or maybe even under the bed, if it was dark enough to be believable, yet light enough in the room to actually get a good shot. Most likely anything involving a kid is going to be massively more interesting than a picture of the bottle. Lol.

To round off this post I thought I’d also mention that I’m playing with the idea of soap “cake” slices again for Christmas, although probably not for combos this time. I was thinking of using the Lime Margarita FO and making a bright green soap cake and piping white soap frosting onto it. Maybe do a Christmas Cake that looks more like a poke cake or fruit cake, with diced brightly dyed clear pieces embedded within a chocolaty cake, so you see the pretty squares all along the sides and as you wear it down washing. That one may look a lot better in my mind than it could ever be in reality though. *laugh* A red velvet soap cake is another idea. I bought some Americana red soap colorant bars the last time I did a big order and I bet that would give a nice rich dark color when used with a tiny sliver of black colorant too. Pipe on some white or off white soap frosting on it, too, of course, unless I get creative with a middle layer and can’t figure out how to cost effectively package a slice with that frosting on it.

If you think something sounds like a fun idea and maybe the next great seller for this Christmas, please don’t hesitate to comment. In the meantime pamper on, Garth. 🙂

National Blog Posting Month

Hold onto your hats because I’m going to try the NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) challenge. The goal is to try to write a post every single day for the month. There isn’t a theme and it can be totally random stuff – it’s just to help get into the habit of posting often. I admit that I create tons of posts that never get typed or written down. It’s become a bad habit and this challenge came at a good time to train myself to do a better job with the blog. You’re forewarned. A peek into my daily mind can be frightening and it’s definitely not for those that prefer a direct path. *laugh* A wonderful side effect to my illness is that the hamster wheel in my mind seldom ever stops going and more often than not there’s more than one wheel swirling. One of my best friends is really awesome at being able to hold conversations with me with multiple topics going at the same time (thank you for that Ma’am! It’s one of the few times I can let loose.). Very few people have this ability and it can be overwhelming. I’m being super honest and feeling a bit nekkid talking about it, since many people have made unflattering comments about how difficult it is to follow my train of thought or my habit of juggling several topics. Self censoring will stop for thirty days. Prepare yourself to travel down some unpredictable, amusing, and sometimes downright odd paths for the next month. *grin*

First up is actually business related. Today I took down a lot of scents from my website. I worked on inventory a few weeks ago, but put the last of it on hold while my aunt was visiting from The Sunshine State, and I finally took the plunge and finished it up. I had some expired FOs and EOs, but mostly it was just scents that no one ever expressed an interest in. It’s rather odd how attached I can get to these silly scents. I learned an interesting life lesson while doing inventory, too. When Citronella turns it has the ability to make you gag until you nearly vomit, just from a little whiff. Impressive. I kind of wonder if maybe that’s what it’s like for mosquitos. Maybe instead of being a repellant it’s actually just rancid to them and they fly off to puke their brains out. Serves the little (okay censoring that) right…Anyway, lesson learned. I’ll get some more next Spring, but for now, it’s removed from my site because I have no desire to smell it for a long time. Lol.

I’m debating trying another poll (maybe I’ll actually get a few participants this round *grin*) to see what FOs to keep around that haven’t sold but are still good. I couldn’t bring myself to nix all of the non sellers, because some smell so good. Plus, polls are fun IMO.

I have some ideas I’m stewing on for products to offer for the holidays, but I figure I better save some stuff for later in the ninth, so there is more than one post that’s actually business related. In light of that I’m signing off for the night, so happy pampering and you’ll hear from me again in a few hours. 😉

Bring On the Egg Nog

I finally made a batch of lotion with the Cozy Christmas FO I bought a while back. Since I really like the Evening Primrose lotion I decided to use it for experimenting with the FO. I wish they had figured out “smellivision” so you could at least smell these jars.

I think the sweet, Christmassy scent pairs perfectly with such a soothing and light lotion. Larry and I actually agree (I’m just as surprised! Lol) that it smells like spiked egg nog straight out of the bottle (cream, sugar, spice, and rum), then mellows to mostly sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg once on the skin. I know it’s kind of odd, but I’m finding the sweet notes incredibly comforting and uplifting. Although it’s such a Christmassy scent I’m really tempted to make this in several mediums and sell it year round. Yeah, I like it that much. *grin*

Any input for the off season name? I haven’t decided if I want to play with the Cozy Christmas name for the holiday time or if I’ll just leave it alone. (I may have lost my cheat sheet that reminds me of the names that don’t correspond well to the FO names, so I had to remove several descriptions from my website while I track the info back down, which makes me a little gun shy now. *embarrassed grin*) Come to think of it some rum in my egg nog always makes me a little more cozy, so it kind of fits.

As tickled as I am with this I have about twenty things on my to do app to get done soon, so I look forward to my helper visiting in the next week. Hopefully I’ll have lots of new tidbits to share soon. In the meantime I’m going to head off and email the manager of my favorite grocery store to see about getting some egg nog. I think a spiked egg nog while soaking in some Cozy Christmas bubble wash sounds divine. 🙂

A Marshmallow World

I thought a little Dean would start this post off right. I know it’s a bit early to have Christmas on the brain, but the couple of months leading to the holidays are a big deal for crafters.

As I always do when I have insomnia I start mapping out ideas about products or researching things, and this week has been no different. I decided that this year I want a different holiday sugar scrub, so I figured it was about time to put in a supply order. *happy sigh* If you’ve been reading my posts, then you know I have a scent hoarding issue and can’t resist getting at least one new scent to try whenever I order supplies. My bank account cries, but I get all giddy, so the universe evens out. *grin*

Now here’s the tie in to the title. I am finally getting my hands on the Marshmallow FO that I’ve been wanting ever since I read about it. Most people love smelling something sweet and comforting, and marshmallows are great year round, so it’s not really too seasonal of a scent. S’mores, cherry chiffon, and hot cocoa…Marshmallow dominant foods really should be their own food group. *a goofy smile takes over as I daydream about the sugary pillows of delight* Oh yeah, I’m supposed to be writing something halfway intelligent about bath and body products. (You’re welcome to do Homer’s signature “doh” there. I’ll allow it this time. Maybe not next time, so I advise that you take advantage. *laugh*)

To add some depth to a few scents I splurged on the Madagascar Black Pepper FO, too. In regular situations pepper makes me sneeze and whatnot, but when it’s a lower note in a complex scent blend, boy howdy! Suddenly my eyebrow lifts, I get a little sassy smile, and see Gerard Butler smiling at me in my mind’s eye. (Got me why, but I just know he has a complex and masculine scent to go with that smile, those abs, and that bad boy vibe. Pepper and a hint of leather. I just can’t decide if he’s more of a crisp Black Tie FO or the woodsy notes of Twilight Woods for the dominant notes. I could totally suffer through either. You know, do my part and all. I’m a giving person like that.) Anywho! I’m excited to get to experiment with that and hopefully add an interesting note to some scents that haven’t really done the elusive “it” for me yet.

While trolling new seasonal scents I landed on Christmas Cookies and managed to justify ordering it since it was fifty cents off. Lol. Yeah, I can justify almost anything if I really want it. *grin* It’s supposed to have dominant notes of buttery shortbread with a bit of vanilla and spice. I’m really hoping that it smells as yummy as it looks, because this is what I hope to use for a “sweet treats” sugar scrub instead of gingersnaps.

To finish my splurging I added Hot Buttered Rum to the mix. Several users commented that it smelled like butterscotch, so I think it’ll make an interesting FO to play with. If I smell more of a rum note then it might just have to mingle with the Egg Nog FO I got on sale a little bit back. A spiked egg nog bubble bath might be pretty sigh inducing come holiday time. Well, especially if I have a glass of the real deal in hand while I’m relaxing.

I also got a few items to amp up the pampering power (suddenly I heard “puppy power” in my head when writing that. Ah, Scrappy, I’ve missed you.). I’m getting tired of rinsing poppy and flax seeds out of the bath tub from Larry using the Men’s Scrub every day, so I decided to experiment with powdered luffa in the scrub. The improved scrub has worked great for him and still gets most of the gunk from Goodyear off of him, but for the sake of less nagging about rinsing the bath out after a shower, I figure it’s worth experimenting with a replacement for the seeds. The luffa soaps never hold up long for him, but he likes them, so I thought maybe a miracle can happen. ‘Tis the season coming up and all that jazz. If it works, then he’s getting a few buckets of it in his Christmas stocking. *grin* If a product can hold up to his intense use without nagging, then it’s a winner. I also ordered two kinds of body puffs; one is regular, but the other is a long and less frilly one, so I think that might be good in a men’s Christmas basket. *crossing my fingers* I added some spa eye masks since I haven’t done a play on the original spa baskets yet, and then a few samples of new colors.

I’m hoping the new items will strike me with some inspiration and that I’ll be doing a little better by the time I receive them, so I can make even half of what is on the new master list. At least I’ll have some sweetness for my oil burners while I pop my earbuds in and secretly listen to Dean and Bing singing about the wonders of the holidays. If only that dreamy snow didn’t make huge drifts in the driveway and make the path to the wood pile seem a mile long. At least a girl can dream when she’s listening to the happy crooners. I hope you get to enjoy “A Marshmallow World” in your dreams tonight.

Sniffing Dirt

I’ve had trouble starting this blog entry because I’ve been selfishly sniffing the four new FOs that I ordered recently and enjoying how I keep finding different notes in them.  *grin*  I managed to control my spending on them last order, but I just got a newsletter with new FOs just in time for Valentine’s…*dreamy sigh*  I just love how a few drops can come together to remind you or a memory or encompasses a feeling.  I’m using that as my excuse for being addicted to collecting FOs.  Lol.

Anyway, I am so excited that the Dirt FO is a really interesting scent.  To me it’s more like the smell of dirt beneath your nails after working in the garden instead of the pungent freshly dug notes that I expected.  It’s a bit woodsy with almost a hint of musk.  When I sniff there are notes that dance around like when a word is at the tip of your tongue, but you can’t quite figure it out.  Larry rolled his eyes and took a few whiffs last night since I wouldn’t let him change out of his work clothes until he gave his impressions on the new FOs.  To his nose (admittedly he comes up with some odd comments and impressions about some scents, but he reinforced mine, so I’m including them lol) Dirt smells like when he’s stacking freshly cut lumber.  There’s that dry woodsy note, but then that earthiness that surrounds him when he’s in the timber.  I never expected such dominant woodsy notes, but they really give the scent some depth.  I’m not so sure now that kids will want to use it except to be defiantly washing with dirt, but I think I have a way around that, which I’ll mention later.

The Jasmine FO is simply beautiful.  I haven’t decided what I want to name it, but it is one of the nicest florals I’ve ever smelled.  It doesn’t have the complex notes of the Moonlight Path knock offs or the cloying sweetness that can overtake a gorgeous honeysuckle, making this FO incredibly unique.  It’s bright and joyful while seeming so elegant and feminine.  *happy sigh*  I want to make a batch of lotion with it to see if I get more detailed impressions of it.

Bubblegum (may change to Gumballs) is more of a dead ringer for those delightful little orbs of happiness I used to get for change as a kid instead of the Bazooka variation that I have on hand.  Admittedly they’re somewhat close and I may have to do a scent test with some helpers to see if they can tell the difference, but it’s a really happy FO.

*drum roll* To the best of the bunch…Fruit Loops!  I’ll have to rename it just so that no one could ever get snippy over trademarks, but holy smokes is it spot on!!  *big grin*  It has so many scent notes without being overwhelming.  It took Larry several sniffs to start to pick out the different fruit, but it isn’t one of those fruit combinations that gives you a headache (thankfully!  I’m hoping that is the case while working with it too!).  The bright citrus and berry notes with a generous helping of sugar to it.  I fit the stereotype of a girl since I love anything chocolate, but this may be my absolute favorite non-chocolate FO.  *happy sigh* An exciting idea I had while making myself light-headed (and maybe making me at risk for an intervention lol) is that I may mix a few drops of Dirt FO in with this and name it something like Gummy Worms in the Dirt (yeah, working title, but gets the idea across).  That’ll incorporate the amusingly defiant dirty name that catches a kid’s eye with the attractive fruity notes that makes it a really fun scent to actually use (by the way, I know a 40-something “kid” that would grin at getting something with that name, so I think I’m onto a keeper of an idea *grin*).  I think this will be the perfect FO to use for the new ducky soaps too!  *breaking out the happy dance*

Since I’m on the computer I may go fantasize about another gift certificate to my wholesaler.  They came out with a dark chocolate covered strawberry FO that I really want an excuse to order.  *grin*  I’ve tried several times now to come up with a good custom blend of that since it’s one of my really special indulgences, but I could never really captured it.  Maybe I’ll just look into vacation deals for Branson so I can smell (okay, okay, so I can eat) the real deal.  I hope that you’re having a cozy weekend too full of happy scents!

Feeding my addiction

Happy New Year’s Eve! I hope you had a wonderful holiday!

In honor of the closing of the year my wholesaler is having a sale on FOs and I won $25 in store credit via a raffle of their Facebook followers, so I fed the addiction to new scents. *grin* Mostly I managed to stay practical and reorder some of my best ones, like Bubblegum, so that I don’t have to raise my prices for a while hopefully. My fingers started to itch to click, though, and I found three new FOs that I just have to try, which should be here in a few weeks. Mawahaha. Lol.

Anyway, my scent hoarding split personality aside, I ordered a version of Jasmine, Dirt, and Fruit Loops-like FOs. What an odd variety, right?

I picked this variation of Jasmine because I’ve been watching for a more straight forward jasmine blend for awhile. I love the smell of jasmine, but I usually can’t find notes of it when it’s blended in the floral FOs that I have. This FO has been rated at 5 stars by other crafters with several notes about how it isn’t overpowering like most florals can be, so I really think this may be the one. *smile*

As to Dirt… that one I stumbled onto. Lol. You know that I love to blend my own combos and I seem to have become obsessed with more earthy scents the last few months. (Well, not counting my full time obsession with sweets, of course!) This FO is supposed to smell just like freshly dug dirt. I know that sounds rather unappealing in a lotion or soap, but I have two ideas for it. First, it may smell, well, dirty, but if I do a soap with it and kids actually want to go wash because of that scent, then it’s a total win. Second, I think it’ll add a really good layer for a complex men’s or unisex blend. I always love the blends of spice, leather, musk, etc. It’s the layers of scents where you get just a hint of something else different each time that keep me interested in a scent. I may also use it added to my rain and ozone-type scents to give that added boost of realism to them. I love all the bits in the FOs that you can get all poetic about, but when there’s something that let’s you close your eyes and for just a moment seem like you’ve escaped to a special haven…now THAT’S a keeper in my book.

I’m feeling all sorts of Valley Girl “totally” excited about the Fruit Loops-type FO. *grin* When I get really excited or happy the “likes” and “totally’s” seem to burst forward from my years in CA, and this is one of those instances that makes me seem like an airhead. Lol. Anything that might really smell like a freshly opened box of fruity o’s of happiness has to be tried. I need to replace my Jellybean scent because it got discontinued (so sad, but thankfully I have some left until I find a replacement) and I’m hoping this might be a great replacement. Plus I’m always on the look out for a new child-friendly scent.

I’m crossing my fingers the FOs turn out as awesome as they sound (and I’m imagining)! I had some injuries that got me prescribed to bed rest, so it might be a little before I get to work with them, but I’m excited to have a few new options to explore in the new year. I’d like to add that I hope 2013 is a happy and exciting year for you and yours. 🙂 Thank you to those that have been on this journey with me through 2012 and hopefully we have more fun in my first full year of blogging!

Arabian Nights and website changes

I’ve finally gotten over a wicked bug that hit me enough to finally work on the most recent order. I got an order for Sands of Morocco Goat’s Milk, version 3, lotion, among others, and boy did I enjoy working with it! It smells better in the lotion than when I was smelling it straight from the bottle. *happy sigh*

I decided to rename it Arabian Nights. When I was smelling the finished lotion it was so exotic and spicy that it made me think of Aladdin. I imagine that Jasmine would have soaked in such a scented bath or been pampered in a similar scented oil. I’m getting better at picking FOs apparently and love each new scent more than the last.

While thinking over needing to change the name of the FO on my website I also puzzled over how to make my site less overwhelming/intimidating. It dawned on me that since I have unlimited pages due to upgrading my site I could make different pages for the FOs. I decided to make a page (hmm, will it end up being close to two pages from enjoying dessert scents so much? *laugh*) named “Food Scents”, another as Men’s/Unisex Scents”, and I haven’t decided what to name the third page of FOs. I will put the florals, spa, and other non-food scents together. All suggestions are appreciated, as always. *grin*

While I’m changing my website I’m debating adding a super straightforward page. Some customers have had trouble with finding prices for things, so I’m thinking of make a page that simply lists the item, size, and price. No descriptions, no tie-ins, or anything. I figure it might help customers who know what they’re wanting, but don’t want to search (or get overwhelming looking) for the prices. I usually try to keep things compact, with as few pages as I can, but now I’m wondering if I’ve approached my website from the wrong point of view. Maybe if each variations had their own page, with a just pricing page too, then it’ll be easier for people to get to the specific section that they’re interested in. The Administrative side of me is delighted to have an excuse to retool the website, too. *grin*

I’m hoping to experiment with the ice cream soaps soon, and look forward to sharing that experience. In the meantime I’ll next share a picture of the sliced watermelon loaf soap experiment. I hope you have a great evening!

Today’s new scents

As the posted picture shows I got my new FOs today. *mini dance* I’m going to rename them, but in the meantime I’ll use the official names for this post.

The Sands of Morocco FO is spicy and sensual. Somehow it comes across as warm, which truly does fit in with the desert thing. The sandalwood and musk are the sensual notes. Although it’s not listed in the scent profile or crafter notes, I think that there’s a strong note of clove that lends itself to that spicy characteristic. I think that women will like for men to smell this way. *wink*

Cool Water for Men (cologne clone) should be a best seller, I swear! It is absolutely amazing. Fresh, clean, and sexy, with notes of marine and woods. I didn’t think that it was possible, but I think it’s even more refreshing (and sexy) than South Pacific Waters. *dramatic sigh* Heellloooo

Lastly, Hazelnut Cappuccino is phenomenal. As you know I wasn’t too fond of the Coffee FO that I previously bought. That was a misfortunate experience. However, I had the chance to get this FO as a free gift from the wholesaler and I went for it. I’m so glad too! The hazelnut is light in it and the cream is absolutely luscious. It smells just like brewed coffee with sweet creamer. It doesn’t have the sharp and bitter notes of the Coffee FO. Now I can go back to planning the coffee shop line. *grin* I want to try this in my gentle lotion, so when I do my morning facial moisturizing I get the comforting “good morning” kick in this part of my routine. I’m so glad that I got this FO!

In addition to the FOs I got two soap molds. I got an extra mold of guest rounds since I make so many of those and I can use it for fizzies too. The most exciting item of the order is my guest loaf mold. I can pour a load of soap and then cut it into slices, allowing me to make neat shapes inside without the issues I’ve had with embeds. I can make what looks like slices of watermelon or even geometric shapes. I think the slices will look much better than the rounds or domed bars for soaps with additives, like ground coffee or ground apricot seeds. I can’t wait to make some different soaps and post them!

All in all it was definitely a worthwhile round of shopping. *grin*

New scents

While I anxiously await the delivery of my sale order with delightful new options, I finally wrote up the previous new scent descriptions lol.

The Deluxe Vanilla is just what you expect. *wink* I honestly think that I’ll replace my regular vanilla with this, so I can have a stronger scented product. I don’t know why the government has limited the percentage of the main vanilla that I use to such an extent, but this is perfect for that extra punch of yumminess. *grin*

I got a good Piña Colada to replace my drunken version. It’s very tropical with a strong pineapple note (as expected). The coconut is a little lighter than I expected, but I really like this version.

The Cedarwood EO smells amazing. I’m a sucker for the smell of a wood shop anyway, so this just delights me. To top it off, it is thought to have medicinal properties, so bonus!

A new FO that totally intrigues me is Frosted Snowdrops. I’m going to have to rename that, because it is so misleading in my opinion. It’s definitely not a holiday themed scent to me. It’s a complex floral with some musk. This FO has me coming back, trying to identify the notes. It’s very clean, feminine, and sexy though, so I’ll need to pick an intriguing name for it. I want to hear what notes others pick up when checking it out. *grin*

Oh, pure yummy bakery describes Angel Food Cake. It’s similar to the Deluxe Vanilla, but with a baked pastry note to it. *happy sigh* It’s like sniffing at the bakery without the temptation to add to the hips. *grin* I get the slightest note of almond to soften the scent too, which just delights me. Can you tell that I’m excited about this one?? Lol. I bet that customers who like Cake Batter FO will love this one too. *crossing fingers with a smile* Yum!

I also found another chocolate that I actually like. I have so many FOs in my “meh” box, with several being variations of chocolate, but this is a keeper. It reminds me of the chocolate that is used to scent chocolate candles. Do you know what I mean? It’s almost a brownie scent with some attempts at milk chocolate. I’m excited to blend this with the Fudge Brownie FO to see what bit of PMS heaven I can get. *grin*

Two last FOs have a lot in common. Caribbean Coconut FO is much better than the plain coconut FO that I have, which will retire to the meh box. This is a great coconut with the softest note of pineapple to sweeten it slightly. The other, Sun & Sand, also has coconut, but it’s the coconut suntan lotion variety. *smile* This FO is just how it is named. Salty water, fresh air, and suntan lotion. A vacation at the beach all on one FO. I’m really happy with these two.

Now, before I get too antsy, I better get my new order to huff all over. Lol. I can’t really say “drool over”, since I sound more like a cocaine addict, sniffing and huffing all my stuff. Rofl. Or so I’m told. *grin* Anyway, my cold medicine is kicking in, so time for a nap. Have a great day and I hope you had a wonderful holiday! 🙂
